The birth of an idea.
"Only after loosing everything, did I gain everything." A reality and core tenet of the founder of Second Chance Internationl, Kurt Smith. Back in late 2006, life was just normal; wife and kids, a successful business, family and friends. In the blink of an eye everything changed. Life became very difficult, he asked God for strength and more challenges were given to him. During his darkest times, life began to have more meaning, more purpose. He began to see that everything that was happenning was a transformation. A sheding of the old and distance beliefs that he once held true. He was humbled and through this, he found his core truth... Life is helping others.

He has worked with people with traumatic brain injuries, cancer, divorce, the homeless, amputees, and the physically challenged. He noticed, that help begins with all things. From helping someone lift a box to helping someone find spiritual enlightenment. 'Imagine a world, where all we do is help another. A family member, A friend, A neighbor, A stranger. Unconditionally. Life will then be magical.'

 

Our Mission

Let's face it. The world and the financial methodolgy of today breeds more greed, lust and evil then it has ever done before. Where a person will sacrifice a friendship, a relationship, to chase the almighty dollar. All of us have been victims to this and if we haven't then we are victimizing others because of it.

The members of Second Chance Intl truly believe that life can be changed. It begins with the individual at the deepest level, the core, the Self, the individual 'I'. The change occurs when someone can remove themselves from the equation by realizing that we are all cut from the same cloth. Our participation in this world is based on our desire to pursue something; be it materialism, spirituality, physical beauty, fame, community, friends or family. It is often because of this pursuit that we are blinded by our own desires and fail to see the beauty in our journey.

In my own personal experience, I have achieved financial success in the past but I was miserable. I know many millionaires who are not happy with their life. I also know many people who seem to have nothing, but have everything because they are happy with their life, they are happy because they have found their purpose.

I've got a question for you. Are you happy with who and where you are? If you can honestly say 'yes', I congratulate you on finding your path. I only ask that you stay true to yourself, live life to its fullest and help as many people as you can before you leave.

I know, that your answers you seek are for you and part of your life and your journey. All I ask is that you look within to seek these answers. No one else can offer you the answers you seek.
